Goodstart Purchases Mission Australia

On 8 July 2019, Goodstart Early Learning (Goodstart) confirmed the purchase of 19 national long day care centres and four Queensland kindergartens from Mission Australia Early Learning (Mission Australia), in a deal expected to be completed by mid-September 2019.

This transaction will mark the end of Mission Australia’s exposure to long day care and Queensland-based kindergarten services, although they will continue to operate family day care services, as well as two preschool centres in New South Wales.

Mission Australia has an extensive history in the early learning sector, having been one of the founding members of Goodstart.

The addition of the new centres will take Goodstart’s total portfolio to 667 early learning services, up from 644.
